Ryan Mroch, Event Organizer

My name Is Ryan Mroch, and I am an Eagle scout. I am currently working on the Hornaday awards, and am hosting this event as one of my projects. I learned during my scouting career that I really enjoy conservation projects and helping the environment. I learned that marine debris is a huge issue for Carteret County. Since the Big Rock Tournament is a huge event in our county, I thought that we could create an event like Big Rock to help with marine debris. People will use non-motorized boats (kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, etc.) to collect trash from the local water. That’s how the Carteret County Trash Trawl idea was born.
