Trash is a major problem in Carteret County that impacts the economy and environment.
You can be a part of the solution! Bring your non-motorized boat out to the event along with your friends. Collect as much trash as you can and get the chance to win the Golden Starfish and bragging rights!
What do you need to do to help?
- Come to Gallants Channel on April 24th at 9am with your non motorized boat (kayak, canoe, paddleboard, peddle boat, etc.)
- Register for the competition (starts at 9:00)
- Collect as much trash as possible (starts at 10:00)
- Be back by 2:00 to have your trash weighed in
- See if you won!
